The Faithful Scribbler

A Catholic Mother In A Secular World

Prayer Intentions

on February 1, 2010

Calling all Prayer Warriors!  I have a few things on my mind– people who could use a prayer if you can spare one!

1.  Little Scribbler– that she can stop throwing up everything she eats, because a semi-verbal, cranky, almost three year old who is sick but cant tell you what hurts is some kind of cruel torture for parents!  (oh yeah, and I’m sure she’s not feeling so great herself! :))

2.  Benjamin and Family– Benjamin is 3 years old.  He has leukemia, a type which is usually cureable.  He is currently at home and only in the hospital for his weekly chemo treatments.  Benjamin also has Down’s Syndrome.  His mom is one amazing woman! She has four children:  Chelsea, a neice whom she adopted when the parents passed away.  Hannah, a beautiful spirit!  Alex, a charming little boy who also has Down’s Syndrome, and lastly Benjamin, who was adopted a birth and has suffered a gambit of illness and disorders in his short life.  This family truly lives the authentic Christian example!  They could really use our prayers right now!

3.  Marriages– so many of my friends have marriages in trouble right now!  Infidelity, pornography, alcoholism and divorce.  Please pray for these people and help them to heal their marriages and move forward in their lives as one body, which God intended.

4.  For vocations– this is the year of praying for vocations.  My husband and I drew the name of a priest out of a box last June, with the intention that we would pray for him all year long.  We have sadly not done so.  My prayers for this man and his vocation have been sadly sporadic.  Please pray for vocations!
